FEATURES
TECHNIK-AC is an acrylic and hydrophilic polymer-based water retaining joint tape that expands when in contact with water and is resistant to deformation. Thanks to its elasticity, it expands up to 900% in contact with water and returns to its previous shape in a dry environment. It is resistant to salt, lime and dirty water, various chemicals and oils. Volume change does not disrupt the molecular structure, it does not damage fresh concrete by swelling at the ideal speed, and can be applied on horizontal and vertical surfaces. It is permanently water resistant. It is not affected by freezing and thawing, does not oxidize or corrode, and can be cut with scissors or a utility knife. It is not poisonous.
USAGE AREAS
In cold building joints subject to hydrostatic pressure, water tanks, treatment plants, tunnel segments, pools, pipe inlets and outlets, curtain foundations, and structures exposed to sea water.
